  • FDA-Approved IBS-D Therapies

  • Other IBS-D Therapies

    • Antidepressants

      Although antidepressants were originally developed to treat mood conditions, doctors discovered that these medicines can also treat IBS symptoms.

    • IBgard®peppermint oil

      IBGard can help reduce abdominal pain in people with IBS-D. It works by delivering peppermint oil directly to the small intestine. This causes the intestines to relax so they are less likely to spasm and cramp which can cause abdominal pain.
