Inflammatory Bowel Disease
IBD is a disease that causes inflammation of the small intestine and colon. Management of IBD is very complex. Treatment options depend on the type of IBD (ulcerative colitis vs. Crohn's), regions of the intestine that are involved, and severity of the illness, among many other factors.
